On Saturday, Curt Schilling said that if he comes back to pitch this season, “The challenge would be in a place like Tampa Bay or Chicago.” (The Cubs.)
For us, the fans, that means that the challenge would be finding reasons not to hate Tampa Bay or Chicago.
Schilling has told us that he’s “hemming and hawing” about whether it makes sense to keep playing. With all the confidence of Fav-ruh on retirement day, he said, “I’m pretty sure I’m not going to, but I’m not positive.”
He’s not sweating the decision, though, and has said, “I’ll figure it out when I need to figure it out.”
Sort of like Manny Ramirez.
It makes you wonder if there’s just something in the water at the Chowda clubhouse. It would definitely explain why both Manny and Schilling have such a laissez-faire approach to managing their baseball careers.
It might also explain why no one on that team likes to shower. Or why Curt Schilling could never get those pesky red paint stains out of his socks.
what a jackass. i’m surprised he hasn’t come out with his views on the bailout yet. i can’t stand this sanctimonious douchebag.

I predict that Shill will pitch…he likes the spotlight and the soapbox too much to voluntarily step away until his arm falls off.
