Tonight, they meet again.  Yes, live from Yankee Stadium, it’s another addition of the Battle of the Braggarts.

Joba will face off against Huff for the first time since the infamous in-your-face fist pumps of May tenth.

For a recap, Huff hits a dinger off of Joba, and as he’s rounding the bases makes an overblown display out of pumping his fist — twice.  Presumably to poke a little fun at the overly enthusiastic Midwestern right.  Well, not presumably.  Definitely.  Huff himself admits, “You know he does that stuff all the time as a pitcher, so I was just having a little fun with him out there.”

when they’re actually just insulting them.  It makes the other person look so petty if they act annoyed.

Joba brushed it off as no big thang: “It really doesn’t matter to me.  He did what he was supposed to do with that pitch. He hit a home run and he can do whatever he wants to do.”

So, here’s the question burning on everyone’s brain: When Joba says that Huff can do “whatever he wants to do,” does he mean that Huff should enjoy himself while he can because he’s going to bean him so hard in tonight’s game that he’ll wish he’d never been born?

Well, that’s one way to go.  Though, you have to admit that with all the build-up, it would be fairly uninspired.  If Joba really wants to get creative, he can just do his damndest to ensure that Huff never makes it to first. And for every time Huff gets sent back to the dugout?  Fist pump in the face, sucka.

Or, of course, there’s always the high road. You know, focus on getting the win and just put the issue to bed so as to avoid piling on to his increasingly bad reputation.
